The Rules
Here's roughly how the game works:
- Pick one club to play each matchday.
- If your club wins, you earn 3 points.
- On a draw you get 1 point.
- You may pick the same club a maximum of 2 times per season.
- You have 3 jokers to double your points that round.
- The season is split into 4 periods, so you can also become period champion.

An example
Jack picks Liverpool in Round 1. Liverpool play Brentford that round and win 7-1. Jack earns 3 points for Liverpool's win, 7 goals for and 1 goal against.
Jill picks Arsenal in Round 1. Arsenal play Everton and the match ends 0-0. Jill earns 1 point for Arsenal's draw. In the standings we see this:
| Name | Pts | Goals for | Goals against | Balance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jack | 3 | 7 | 1 | +6 |
| Jill | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
In Round 2, Jack picks Chelsea. Chelsea play Fulham that round and lose 1-4. Jack earns 0 points for Chelsea's loss, 1 goal for and 4 goals against.
Jill picks Tottenham in Round 2. Tottenham play Man Utd and win 2-1. Jill earns 3 points for Tottenham's win, 2 goals for and 1 goal against. In the standings we see this:
| Name | Pts | Goals for | Goals against | Balance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jill | 4 | 2 | 1 | 1 |
| Jack | 3 | 8 | 5 | +3 |
Suppose Jill had used a joker in Round 2. Then her Round 2 result would have been doubled, so 6 points, 4 goals for and 2 goals against.
Good tactics
We don't know what a good tactic is. It comes down to knowledge, skill, insight and pure luck.
There are 38 matchdays and 20 clubs. You may pick each club a maximum of 2 times. That means you don't have to pick 1 club at all, or you can pick 2 clubs just once. You can decide not to pick a weaker club at all. Or that one club you can't stand, so you don't have to cheer for them. You're completely free to figure it all out and decide for yourself.
We also don't know what a good tactic is for using jokers. It does seem better, though, to use a joker on a match where you think it's fairly certain your chosen club will win.
But in the end, everything always turns out differently than planned anyway.
