The Game Rules
How the game works approximately:
- Choose one country to play with for each match.
- If your country wins, you earn 4 points + the try bonus.
- In case of a draw, you get 2 points + the try bonus.
- Bij een verlies krijg je misschien nog de losing bonus.
- You may choose the same country a maximum of 3 times in the tournament.
- You have 2 jokers to double your points for that match.
- When joker 1 is used on a certain country, joker 2 may only be used on a country that plays against the country of joker 1.
- Before the tournament, you must make a few predictions. However, these are only important to decide a tie.

An Example
Roy chooses France. for match 1. France plays against Ireland and wins 31-26. Roy receives 4 points for the victory of France + 1 bonus point because France scored more than 3 tries, 31 match points (goals) for and 19 match points (goals) against.
Shirley chooses Ireland. for match 1. Ireland plays against France and the match ends 31-26 for France. Shirley receives 1 losing bonus point because the difference was less than 7 points. The standings show this:
| Name | Pts | Goals For | Goals Against | Balance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Roy | 5 | 31 | 26 | +5 |
| Shirley | 1 | 26 | 31 | -5 |
In match 2, Roy chooses Italy. Italy plays against Wales and loses 24-73. Roy receives 0 points for the loss of Italy, 24 goals for and 73 goals against.
Shirley chooses Wales. in match 2. Wales wins 73-24 against Italy. Shirley receives 4 points for the win of Wales + 1 bonus point, 73 goals for and 24 goals against. The standings show this:
| Name | Pts | Goals For | Goals Against | Balance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shirley | 6 | 99 | 55 | +44 |
| Roy | 5 | 55 | 99 | -44 |
Assume Shirley had used a joker in match 2. Her result in match 2 would be doubled: 8 points, 146 goals for and 48 goals against.
Joker rules
This is how the joker rules work:
- You may use a maximum of 2 jokers during this 6 Nations.
- The 2nd joker may only be used in a match against the team you chose with the first joker.
- Example: you use the first joker on Ireland in the match Ireland - France
- The 2nd joker may now only be used in a match against Ireland.
- Matches in which the 2nd joker may be used are:
- - Ireland - England
- - Ireland - Wales
- - Ireland - Scotland
- - Ireland - Italy
- In all other matches, you can no longer use the 2nd joker

Good Tactic
We don't know what a good tactic is. It comes down to knowledge, skill, insight, and pure luck.
There are 15 matches and 6 teams. You may choose each team a maximum of 3 times. That means you don't have to choose 1 team at all, or 3 teams only twice. You can decide not to choose a weaker team at all. Or that one team you hate, so you don't have to cheer for them. You can figure it all out and decide for yourself.
For the use of jokers too, we don't know what a good tactic is. It seems better, however, to use a joker in a match where you think it is quite certain that your chosen club will win. But beware, you are then forced to use your 2nd joker against that team.
But, in the end, everything always turns out differently than planned.
